SurgerySURGERY

We have three dedicated operating theatres ensuring your pet’s operation is performed in a clean and well equipped environment.

Soft Tissue Surgery

Soft tissue refers to tissue that connects, supports and surrounds other structures and organs of the body. Soft tissue can be muscles, tendons, fibrous tissues, fat, blood vessels and nerves.

Surgery of this type involves a wide range of surgical treatments that include ear, nose and throat, thoracic (chest), abdominal and urogenital tract surgery in small animals.

We perform a wide range of soft tissue surgical procedures including neutering, biopsy and mass removal, wound management, bowel surgery and exploratory abdominal surgery.

Abdominal surgery is important in the removal or biopsy of tumours, investigating intestinal diseases, removing foreign bodies found in the intestine and investigating pancreatic/liver disease.

Orthopaedic Surgery

Orthopaedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with acute, chronic, traumatic, and overuse injuries and other disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

Orthopaedic surgery is available for the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, including fractured bones, joint diseases and muscle diseases of small animals.

We have a wide range of orthopaedic surgical equipment to enable us to surgically manage by internal and/or external fixation techniques.

Fracture repair is undertaken by using intramedullary pins, bone plates and external skeletal fixators.

We undertake various surgical procedures for the management of joint disease, including cruciate ligament injury and patella (kneecap) luxation.
